Sara doing the business of the 'tea making' ceremony

The first time I've managed to walk to the beach hut since last year.

The beach hut will play a big role in my recovery - offering me a one and half mile walk there and another one and a half back. I managed it for the for the first time on Tuesday 26th July.

and it was there that we got the news of Felix's arrival into the world.

Windy day - loads of kite surfers in the distance towards Sea Lane

Two peas in a pod

Nothing to sea hear - sea fret has ruined my spelling

A much better day in May

Mirror mirror on the wall ...

Is there no end to the Council Improvements to the beach hut surround? This time it is 50 tons of extra gravel on the shingle. Sara managed to go for a paddle anyway. She reported the sea as 'quite warm' and suggested it could be time for a swim next time!

Enough said - the sign above our door

  • Not warm yet about 14C

April the 4th and ready for an improvement in air temperature!

  • A cup of tea warms the cockles

    Blue Skies and Lazy Days

Ah - everything reinstated ready for the summer

Getting the hut back in shape

Starting again - March 2016

The workmen have taken the cladding out from the beach hut. It now looks very different and I have decided to paint the inside to make it look a bit interesting. First coat of paint applied today, then home to watch City draw against Norwich - it might have been better to watch the paint dry!

Just another beautiful day - but hut still not completed by the Council

Repairs by Adur and Worthing District Council Feb 2016

A major design fault in the beach hut by the Council has meant that we have had to take out all our fixtures and fttings whilst workmen try to solve the ventilation problem which has led to a build of mould on the walls.

Beach hut is now awaiting the workmen who should start soon. I do love a project though - so here we go again.

Not the sandiest, but our bit of beach

All my own work and design..

Note the addition of the matching City mugs

Even in Winter ...
